Students will understand the interactions between indoor spaces, the building envelope, and outdoor conditions, including convection on internal walls and fa\u00e7ades, longwave and shortwave radiation, and sources of heat, moisture, and air pollutants. The course also covers HVAC systems, which account for a significant portion of building energy consumption for cooling and heating. Finally, students will apply the numerical methods to conduct building performance analyses for test cases and real scenarios.
