This course aims to study and discuss nanotechnology within its broader technological, socioeconomic, and cultural contexts. In this way, topics include nanoscale manufacturing processes, the development and application of nanotechnology-based products, and their multifaceted impacts on society. In addition, discussions on technological innovation and their impact on several human dimensions. In the final of the course, students will be expected to articulate and analyse, from an interdisciplinary and generalist perspective, the role of nanotechnology across different knowledge domains, encouraging reflection on their professional practices.
