Body Language is a theoretical–practical course introducing the fundamentals of body language as a means of theatrical expression and communication. The course explores body awareness, expressivity, and principles of movement applied to character creation and scene construction. Students will study and experiment with the Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) system — focusing on the categories Body and Effort (Expressivity) — to understand how movement conveys intention, emotion, and meaning. By the end of the course, students will be able to consciously and creatively use body language to enhance their stage performance and communicative effectiveness.
