This course explores radical urban innovations emerging from Latin America, focusing on how cities in the region respond creatively to structural challenges, especially in peripheral territories. Open to undergraduate students from all courses, it promotes a multidisciplinary learning environment through theoretical discussions, readings, and collective debates.Students will examine urban insurgencies and resistance to top-down, prefabricated urbanism by analyzing concrete case studies and experiences led by local communities and researchers. By engaging with their own urban contexts, students are encouraged to develop critical and imaginative responses to urban complexity, positioning creativity as a form of resistance and transformation.
